Samartex to face Victoria United in CAF CL, Nsoatreman draws Elite Sport in Confederation Cup

Ghana’s representatives at next season’s Africa inter-club competitions, FC Samartex and Nsoatreman FC have drawn Victoria United and Elite Sports in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup respectively.
Samartex will engage Cameroonian champions Victoria United in a two-legged game in August, with the GPL winners hosting their opponents at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The winner of the encounter on aggregate will progress to face the victor in the match between ASGNN of Niger and Raja Casablanca of Morocco.
Meanwhile, Nsoatreman FC will begin their African adventure with a clash against the Chadian club also in the same month. The FA Cup winners use the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as their home venue for the competition.
The winner of the match between Nsoatreman and Elite Sport will face either Algeria’s CS Constantine or Police FC of Rwanda.
Last season, Medeama SC and Dreams FC represented Ghana with both teams reaching the group stage the CAF competitions.
