Tonto Dikeh Warns TikTok Impostor Over Alleged Online Scam

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has issued a strong warning to an unidentified individual allegedly impersonating her on TikTok and defrauding unsuspecting members of the public, vowing to pursue the matter until the culprit faces jail time.
In a strongly worded message shared online, the outspoken actress accused the impostor of using her name and image to solicit money from unsuspecting victims, describing the act as criminal and unacceptable.
“To the girl impersonating me on TikTok, collecting money and claiming to be me, if we catch you, nobody will save you. I don’t back down when people plead on social media. You will definitely go to jail,” Dikeh warned.
According to the actress, the matter has already been reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities, and steps are being taken to identify and apprehend the individual behind the fake account.
“We have alerted the necessary agencies, and investigations are ongoing,” she disclosed, stressing that the issue is being treated with utmost seriousness.
Dikeh also used the opportunity to caution her fans and the general public to remain vigilant, reiterating that she does not solicit money from individuals online under any circumstance. She urged social media users to report any suspicious accounts claiming to represent her.
“I do not ask people for money on social media. If anyone reaches out to you claiming to be me and requesting funds, please report the account immediately,” she stated.
The actress, known for her outspoken nature, has been vocal in recent years about the rise of online fraud and identity theft, particularly on social media platforms. She noted that scammers often take advantage of the popularity of public figures to exploit innocent people.
“This has become a common tactic — using celebrities’ faces and names to deceive people,” Dikeh said, adding that such acts not only damage reputations but also cause financial and emotional harm to victims.
Fans and followers have since reacted to her warning, with many praising her for taking a firm stance and encouraging authorities to clamp down on online impersonators and digital fraudsters.
As investigations continue, Dikeh reaffirmed her determination to see the matter through, insisting that impersonation and online scams must not go unpunished.
