Ogum eyes revenge as Black Starlets face Ivory Coast in WAFU B U-17 final

Black Starlets head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum says his side is motivated ahead of their final against Ivory Coast in the WAFU B U-17 Championships. After a disappointing 1-1 draw with Togo, Ghana suffered a 3-0 defeat to Côte d’Ivoire before securing a 3-1 win over Niger.
However, Narteh Ogum’s side defeated Nigeria in the semifinals to set up a final against Ivory Coast at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
Speaking ahead of the game, he stressed that the team is determined to beat the host country.
“We’ve played them, we’ve seen them play, and they’ve also seen us play. They defeated us in the group stage, and it’s the second time we face them. I think that is enough motivation for us to come in strongly and make sure what happened before does not happen again,” he said.
Both teams have already secured places in next year’s U-17 Africa Cup of Nations by reaching the final of the regional tournament.
