Dr Akwasi Opong-Fosu joins Africa Global Chamber of Commerce advisory board

Ghana’s Dr Akwasi Opong-Fosu has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Africa Global Chamber of Commerce (AGCC), a move expected to strengthen the nation’s voice in global trade and investment discussions.
The appointment was announced on 30 September 2025 by the AGCC, a Chicago-based trade association that promotes economic partnerships between Africa and the United States.
The Chamber described Dr Opong-Fosu as a seasoned public servant with strong values of governance and leadership.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AGCC, Dr Olivier Kamanzi, said the appointment recognises Dr Opong-Fosu’s contributions to economic growth in Ghana and his commitment to advancing U.S.-Africa trade policy.
“Dr Opong-Fosu is a fine government servant whose experience and principles will help advance the Chamber’s mission,” Dr Kamanzi stated.
In response, Dr Opong-Fosu expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to support the Chamber’s work.
