We need to believe in the project – Hearts of Oak Coach Dramani
Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has called on his players to keep faith in the club’s ongoing project after the Phobians secured a second successive league victory with a 1-0 win over Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday evening.
The narrow triumph lifted Hearts to third place on the Premier League table, collecting seven points from their opening three matches.
Enock Asubonteng settled the contest in the 17th minute, drilling home a low effort past the goalkeeper.
The strike ultimately proved the difference in a match where Hearts dominated possession but were tested defensively.
“We need to believe in what we are doing, and that’s the consistency we try to instil in our players. We can be strong, play tight games, score one, and protect it. Sometimes it’s difficult,” Dramani said after the game.
Although Hearts controlled the midfield exchanges and dictated the tempo, they converted only three shots on target from sustained possession.
Dramani will now look to build on this momentum as the Phobians prepare for an away clash with Bechem United. Eleven Wonders, winless in three outings, will host Young Apostles next weekend.
