I owe you a concert – Shatta Wale thanks fans after EOCO bail

Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has promised fans a special concert as a token of appreciation following his release from the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
The musician was released on Thursday, 21 August, after meeting revised bail conditions. His lawyer, Cephas Boyuo, confirmed that EOCO had reduced the initial GHS10 million bail to GHS5 million with two sureties.
Shatta Wale is now required to report to EOCO three times a week as investigations continue into how he acquired a Lamborghini Urus without verifiable ownership documents.
Following his release, Shatta Wale expressed gratitude to his supporters.
“I want to say thank you to my management team. Everybody has been supportive, and to you the fans, I owe you a beautiful concert one of these days because you have been truly supportive,” he said in a video message.
During his detention, hundreds of fans gathered outside EOCO offices, demanding his release and vowing not to leave until he was freed.
Shatta Wale acknowledged their loyalty, assuring them that he was safe.
“I heard some of you came there from morning and didn’t want to leave. But as you have seen my video, you should know Shatta is safe, your king is safe, One Don is safe. I am home now and I want to say a big thank you for supporting me and being around me in times like this. I needed you the most,” he stressed
The artiste also commended EOCO staff for what he described as their professional handling of the process.
“To all the staff of EOCO, you have been wonderful. You really took me through the rightful processes, and I just want to say God bless you,” he stated.
He further extended special thanks to EOCO’s Executive Director, Mr Raymond Archer, for his cooperation and understanding.
