Black Stars forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has disclosed that he has a great relationship with Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy on the pitch.
Issahaku served Vardy with the assist for his first goal of the season as Leicester City held Tottenham Hotspurs in the King Power Stadium on Monday night.
The duo have established great partnership, playing a pivotal role in Leicester’s promotion to the English topflight last season. Issahaku and Vardy will be crucial to the Fixes campaign in the new season.
“Jamie Vardy is always there, I know where he is,” he said after the game. “Anytime I get the ball, I think of him and where to put the ball for him to score. Fortunately, today, it happened it again and I’m so happy.”
Having conceded early in the first half through a Pedro Porro striker, Leicester responded with a strong display in the second half.
“It’s about the coach,” he added. “In the second half, he spoke to us in the dressing room, how to get it easier for ourselves as a team. We did it and I think that’s why we came on in the game. “Especially, how we played, it’ll give us more confidence. We know we can give more. This game will give us more tactics to learn. I think we are going to do more and show more to get better.”
