Shatta Wale slams EOCO’s timing amid national mourning

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is questioning the timing of an invitation from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), calling it inappropriate as the country mourns victims of a tragic military helicopter crash.
In a social media post, the musician criticized EOCO Executive Director Raymond Archer for contacting his team on the same day eight lives were lost in the crash, including two government ministers.
Shatta Wale expressed frustration that EOCO proceeded to summon him despite the national grief.
The agency had earlier confirmed the seizure of the artiste’s yellow 2019 Lamborghini Urus, following a directive from the FBI. The luxury vehicle is believed to be connected to a fraud syndicate run by convicted Ghanaian businessman Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently serving an 86-month sentence in the United States.
While EOCO has yet to respond to Shatta Wale’s post, reactions online have been mixed.
Some support his concerns about timing, while others urge him to cooperate fully with the investigation.
The seized Lamborghini remains in EOCO’s custody pending further action.
