Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has condemned the circulation of disturbing images and videos from the recent Obuasi helicopter crash that claimed the lives of several top government officials, including the Ministers of Defence and Environment.
In a message posted on X, formerly Twitter, Sarkodie criticized some media outlets and content creators for rushing to post graphic content in the name of exclusivity and engagement.
He stressed the need for empathy, urging everyone to “be human first.”
His comments come amid growing public outrage over the insensitivity shown in the coverage of the national tragedy.
