Gramps Morgan pays tribute to Daddy Lumba

Renowned reggae artist Gramps Morgan, a member of the Grammy Award-winning group Morgan Heritage, has joined the global wave of tributes following the passing of Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba.

In a message posted on Threads, Gramps Morgan expressed sorrow and solidarity with the people of Ghana, mourning the loss of an artist he described as one of the finest voices in highlife music.

“Can’t believe another legend has passed away. Ghana, I mourn with you for this legend,” the reggae artist wrote, tagging the late musician’s official handle @realdaddylumba.

Known for his deep admiration of African music and culture, Morgan went on to celebrate Daddy Lumba as a true musical icon.

“One of the best in highlife music out of my Ghana. Daddy Lumba, you’ll never be forgotten,” he added, ending with the hashtags #RIPDaddyLumba and #GoneTooSoon.
