Ghana U23 star Emmanuel Yeboah joins Halmstad BK

Ghanaian attacker Emmanuel Yeboah has signed with Swedish top flight side Halmstad BK on a season long loan from Danish club Brøndby IF, in a move aimed at giving the 22-year-old more regular first team opportunities.

Known for his physicality, pace, and high energy, Yeboah heads into his second loan stint in as many seasons, having previously spent time with Vejle Boldklub in the Danish Superliga.

Despite making just nine appearances there, he displayed glimpses of his talent, qualities Halmstad head coach Jesper Westerberg hopes to fully unlock in Sweden.

“We have been monitoring him since last winter. Our scouting process included data analysis, match footage, and insights from coaches who have worked with him. He matches the athletic and tactical demands of our setup,” Westerberg revealed on the club’s website.

Yeboah already has a taste of European football, having played for CFR Cluj in Romania, where he featured in the UEFA Champions League, before moving to Brøndby.

Although yet to debut for Ghana’s senior national team, he has featured at the under 23 level with the Black Meteors and is seen as a prospect for the Black Stars.

With his strong physical presence and speed, Yeboah will be eager to make his mark in the Swedish Allsvenskan and get his career trajectory back on the rise.
