Edem named brand ambassador for Safer Digital Ghana Campaign

Renowned Ghanaian musician Edem has been officially unveiled as the Brand Ambassador for the Safer Digital Ghana Campaign, a national initiative spearheaded by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) under the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation.

The announcement was made at a brief but significant ceremony held at the CSA Headquarters in Accra, where Edem pledged his commitment to championing safe digital practices across the country.

In his acceptance speech, the artist expressed heartfelt gratitude to the ministry and the CSA for the trust placed in him to lead such a critical national cause.

“We live in an era where the digital world shapes nearly every aspect of our lives—how we learn, work, communicate, and express ourselves. With just a few clicks, we gain access to opportunities but also expose ourselves to cyber threats,” Edem said.

He noted that the campaign goes beyond mere awareness and seeks to empower Ghanaians, especially the youth, business owners, government workers, and schoolchildren, to adopt safe online habits and report cyber incidents.

“As the face of this campaign, I’m not just here to represent; I’m here to advocate for change. I am truly committed to using my platform to promote cyber hygiene, encourage the reporting of cyber incidents, and champion safe internet practices,” he added.

The CSA believes that Edem’s influence and popularity, particularly among the youth, will help amplify the campaign’s message and drive behavioral change.
