Hearts of Oak in talks with Maxwell Konadu over coaching job

By Lukman MUMIN, Accra

Hearts of Oak have reportedly initiated discussion with former Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu about potentially replacing Aboubakar Ouattara at the club.

The Phobians has been inconsistent in the Ghana Premier League campaign and could ring changes to their technical team for the new campaign.

With four matches to end the season, the rainbow boys find themselves in the sixth position, accumulating 46 points.

According to reports in Kumasi, the one-time CAF Champions winners are in talks with Maxwell Konadu as a possible replacement for the Ivorian trainer heading into the new campaign.

Hearts of Oak will not sack Ouattara, but intends to transit him to the technical director role at the club.

Konadu, who is the former assistant coach of the Black Stars is currently unattached after ending his stint with South African club, Black Leopards.

Meanwhile, it remains uncertain whether the experienced Ghanaian tactician will accept the Hearts of Oak coaching job as reported in the  media.
