GFA president reiterates confidence in fixing Ghana football

The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, has asserted that his administration has what it takes to fix the problems affecting the game in the West African nation.
The former sports journalist believes dealing with the problems at the basic level will eventually fix the general issues facing the country’s beloved sport.
He made these remarks while attending the final of the Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence.
“We came from a period where we were inconsistent in running of our domestic leagues. We came from a period where our national teams were not performing,” Okraku said, referring to the Number 12 expose.
“To fix this, it takes time, it takes patience, it takes the right people, and it takes a lot of investments.
“I think that so far, the leadership of our FA has shown enormous commitment at fixing these problems.
“We have said that we will fix these problems from the very foundation of the problems. And what we have gone through today is a testament of our desire and commitment towards that ambition.”
Kurt Okraku is now going into his sixth year as president of the Ghana Football Association.
