By Lukman MUMIN, Accra

Ghana’s U20 women’s national team, the Black Princesses will continue their preparations in Accra on Monday, August 12, 2024, as they finalise their camping activities ahead of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The Black Princesses have been based in Cape Coast since June 27, 2024, focusing on strategy, tactical drills, and strength conditioning.

The team will play a friendly match at the Accra Sports Stadium before departing for Colombia.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will run from August 31 to September 22, 2024.

Ghana’s campaign will commence with a match against Austria on September 2.

The team will also face Japan and New Zealand in Group E.

Having struggled to progress beyond the group stage in their last six World Cup appearances, the Black Princesses are determined to make a breakthrough this year. Their recent successes, including winning gold at the 2023 African Games and the WAFU B Girls Cup last year, have bolstered their confidence and optimism for a successful tournament.
