New Brighton forward Ibrahim Osman ready to fight for position in the team

By Lukman MUMIN, Accra

Black Stars forward Ibrahim Osman believes his versatility will offer him the advantage in his quest to fight for a position in the starting team of Brighton next season.

The 19-year-old was unveiled as Brighton and Hove Albion’s latest signing following his arrival in England to begin his Premier League career.

Osman, a naturally gifted winger will face competition from Japanese star Kaoru Mitoma, Solly March, Simon Adingra, and fellow summer arrival Yankuba Minteh for a place in the starting line-up.

“My focus is to try and learn as much as possible in this squad and also with the older guys here to try and learn from them. And also I know myself, I don’t depend on one position. I can play as a right winger, upfront and on the left wing, so I’m happy I can play all these positions,” he said.

Osman joined his new teammates for pre-season this week and will travel with the team to Japan to continue preparations ahead of his debut season in the English Premier League.
