Drive to Inspire-Africa ready to impact the next generation – Nana Adjoa Hackman 

Managing partner of Africa Legal Associates (ALA) and founder of Drive to Inspire – Africa (DTI-A) Nana Adjoa Hackman, has expressed her commitment to positively impacting the next generation with the support of partners and donors.

Speaking at the official launch and fundraising activity of DTI-A at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, she outlined the organization’s vision to motivate and challenge teenagers and young adults, especially girls, to reach their full potential through education and mentorship.

The event, themed “Inspiring Minds, Empowering Youth; Empowering Youth, Transforming Africa,” brought together high-profile personalities from Ghana and abroad to support the initiative.

Nana Adjoa Hackman emphasized the importance of preparing youth to build a better future for themselves and society, highlighting DTI-A’s activities in career guidance, character-building, personal development talks, adolescent health education, and mentorship for girls.

One of DTI-A’s key initiatives is an educational sponsorship program set to commence in a few months.

This program aims to establish a template for scholarship distribution in Greater Accra, Eastern, and Central regions before scaling up nationwide and potentially across Africa.

Nana Adjoa Hackman’s personal journey, including being inspired by a prominent Ghanaian lawyer at a young age, fueled her passion for the DTI-A project.

Expressing gratitude to partners and contributors, Nana Adjoa Hackman recognized the importance of collaboration in driving positive change.

Among the attendees was Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana and member of DTI-A’s Advisory Council, who commended the initiative’s continental focus and urged attendees to support DTI-A’s mission of supporting education in Africa.

Charles Abani, the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Ghana, lauded DTI-A’s focus on education and partnerships, aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

He emphasized the critical role of education in Africa’s development and praised Nana Adjoa Hackman’s impactful yet understated approach to creating change.

As an accountability partner of DTI-A, KPMG pledged its long-term support to ensure transparent accountability for funds and appropriate use of resources.

Director-General of the Ghana Education Service Dr. Eric Nkansah,  commended DTI-A’s dedication to inspiring and mentoring youth, pledging the Education Service’s support for the organization’s noble mission.

Drive to Inspire – Africa seeks to inspire and mentor teenagers and young adults, especially girls, to aim high and reach their potential.

Registered as a company limited by guarantee, DTI-A is committed to accountability, relentless pursuit of its mission, and compassionate service to beneficiaries.

The organization’s goal is to contribute to a brighter future by empowering the next generation of African leaders.
