Hammer quits selling of A1 Bread to revive musical legacy

Ghanaian sound engineer Hammer of the Last 2, renowned for his exceptional talent in music production, has officially resigned from A1 Bread to channel his time and energy into his highly anticipated musical comeback.

In a heartfelt statement posted on Facebook, Edward Nana Poku Osei, popularly known as Hammer, confirmed his departure from the bread industry, which he entered in 2017. Despite finding success in the bread business, Hammer’s passion for music never waned, leading to his decision to return to his roots as a music producer.

Expressing his excitement for his upcoming album titled ‘Upper Echelon,’ scheduled for release in early 2024, Hammer thanked his fans and supporters for their unwavering encouragement.

The album features both new school artists and veteran musicians, with production starting in August 2022.

In his statement, Hammer explained the challenges of balancing his creative process, his role as Managing Partner and Head of Sales/Marketing at A1 Bread, and managing RedEye’s comeback album.

He expressed gratitude for A1 Bread accepting his resignation in good faith, allowing him to focus on his music career.

Hammer clarified that his decision to resign from his day job would not impact his standing in the company as an equity stakeholder.

While his role at A1 Bread was demanding, Hammer assured that Ekumfi Juice, where they serve as key distributors, would continue providing the best pineapple juice without interruption.

The announcement marks a significant moment for Hammer as he looks forward to dedicating more time to his music and delivering new creative projects to his fans.
