Trailblazers Ghana: Lending a Hand to Gomoa Buduatta Basic School

Trailblazers Ghana, a non-profit organization whose goal is to improve and empower women and children of all ages in rural and underprivileged communities had made a donation of assorted items to Gomoa Buduatta Basic School.
The organisation partnered with companies like YPO Ghana Chapter, Fairway Ghana, Piya Foods, Integrated Legal Consult, Cupcake Boutique, Sumps Stationery, Carling Ghana, Magic Hands, Smart Kidz Learning and other supporters to donate Stationery, Clothes, Shoes and some other basic essentials to the school which is located in Gomoa Potsin in the central region.
Speaking to the media, the Administrator, Ms. Gifty Takyi, said the purpose of the journey is to extend a helping hand to the school children, adding that it was an initiative of pure goodwill and an earnest effort to make a real difference in the lives of these underprivileged pupils.
She indicated that the Trailblazers team first visited to school earlier in the year.
During the visit, she said the team found that the pupils and teachers faced teething challenges, from dilapidated classrooms, lack of basic supplies, and a general sense of hopelessness had plagued the school for far too long.
According to her, it was clear to the team that there was an urgent need for intervention and the immediate support from the donors made the team achieve their aims.
Assistant Headmaster of the school, Festus Adoboah noted that Trailblazers’ commitment to Gomoa Buduatta D/A Basic School was unexpected.
He added that the organization went a step further to provide the school with a huge signpost, which would serve as a symbol of renewed pride and identity for the school, a wire mesh for the windows and a lighting system.
Mr. Adoboah stated that the action taken by the organization has renewed hope and a sense of purpose that will guide them towards a brighter tomorrow.
