Jeffrey Nortey wins Screen Icon of the Year at Ghana Entertainment Awards USA
Ghanaian actor and performer Jeffrey Nortey has been crowned Screen Icon of the Year at the 7th Ghana Entertainment Awards USA, held on Saturday, 27th September, at the Avenue Event Space in South Hackensack, New Jersey.
The annual ceremony, dedicated to honouring Ghanaian and African creatives both at home and in the diaspora, spotlighted Ghana’s enduring music and film legacy with a night of live performances and tributes to highlife heritage.
This year’s nominees were announced on 31st August, with public voting running until 20th September via the awards’ official website.
Nortey’s win marks a milestone in a career defined by versatility across theatre, film, comedy and digital content.
His acclaimed stage production ‘3 Faces of Jeffrey Nortey,’ a blend of acting, spoken word and music showcasing multiple characters in one performance helped establish him as a unique force in Ghana’s creative scene.
