FC Nordsjaelland returnee Princess Marfo determined to improve
Black Queens forward Princess Marfo says she is returning to Danish side FC Nordsjaelland with a renewed determination to improve after a season and a half with American club Bay FC.
The youngster left Nordsjaelland having made 46 appearances since first pulling on the red shirt in 2022 and is now back in Farum, eager to build on her previous spell.
“I have a huge desire to come back and play, and to become even better than I was when I left. I’ve come back to stay, and I feel a great sense of calm and patience.
“It’s been a hectic year and a half, but I’ve learned an incredible amount about myself, become more mature, and gained patience I perhaps didn’t have before,” Marfo said.
She added: “I’m looking forward to getting started and seeing all our fans at Right to Dream Park.”
Born in Ghana and a graduate of the Right to Dream Academy, Marfo rose to prominence at Nordsjaelland before earning her move to the United States.
Her time in the National Women’s Soccer League also saw her cement a place in the Black Queens squad, featuring for Ghana at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where she helped the team finish third after beating South Africa in the play-off.
