Stonebwoy drops ‘Overlord’ refix to celebrate Kudus’ Tottenham unveiling

A blend of music and football has excited fans on social media after Ghanaian footballer Mohammed Kudus was officially unveiled by English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

Let me know if you want it to sound more casual, formal, or punchy for a headline or intro.

In a video shared by the club on July 11, 2025, Kudus was welcomed with a special refix of Stonebwoy’s hit track ‘Overlord,’ originally featured on the dancehall musician’s 2024 album Up & Running.

The 38-second clip, which captured scenes from Kudus’ photoshoot, featured a customized version of the track with lyrics dedicated to the midfielder’s recent transfer.

Four days later, on July 14, Tottenham shared behind-the-scenes footage showing Kudus reacting enthusiastically after hearing the refix for the first time.

“This track is mad, and I really like it,” he exclaimed, clearly impressed by the gesture.

The video also captured a wholesome moment as Kudus connected with Stonebwoy via video call. Expressing his excitement, Kudus said, “I hear the track. E be mad waa. The lyrics of the song are crazy. In August, you have to come to the stadium because it is another shutdown. That is my new ringtone.”

Stonebwoy, real name Livingstone Etse Satekla, revealed that the track was produced in less than a day.

“I composed the song yesterday. I didn’t sleep because we had to fix it just yesterday. Can’t you see my eyes? I hope you love the track. Anything you want to fix inside the track now now, we fit do,” he told Kudus with a smile.

The video has sparked excitement online, with many Ghanaians celebrating the collaboration between two of the country’s biggest stars in music and football.

Kudus, who previously played for West Ham United, is expected to play a key role in Tottenham’s midfield in the upcoming season.
