Stanchart to pay ₵1.67 dividend per share

Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC (SCB) has announced a final dividend of GHS1.6704 per share for the 2024 financial year, subject to shareholder approval at its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

In a notice to shareholders, the bank stated that the dividend would be paid to all shareholders registered in its books as of the close of business on Friday, July 11, 2025. This means only shareholders on record by that date will qualify for the dividend payment.

The ex-dividend date, the date from which new shareholders are no longer entitled to the dividend, has been set for Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Investors who purchase SCB shares before this date will be eligible to receive the final dividend. Those who buy on or after July 9 will not be entitled to the payment.

According to the bank, the final dividend is scheduled to be paid on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

This payout reflects Stanchart’s sustained profitability and strong capital position in a challenging macroeconomic environment. The dividend serves as a reward to shareholders for their continued confidence and investment in the bank.

Stanchart has consistently maintained a reputation for prudent financial management and robust governance, with this latest dividend reinforcing its position as one of the most shareholder-friendly banks on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
