Ghanaian Afro-pop and Afro-fusion artist Gyakie has been named to Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2025, a prestigious recognition that celebrates the achievements of young innovators and change-makers across the continent.
The announcement was made on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Gyakie’s selection highlights her contributions to the music industry, particularly her distinctive sound, impactful cross-border collaborations, and growing role as a cultural ambassador for Ghana and Africa at large.
Known for blending genres such as Afro-fusion, R&B, hip-hop, and highlife, Gyakie has carved out a unique space in the African music scene. Her work continues to attract both continental and international attention, solidifying her influence as one of the continent’s rising music stars.
“This acknowledgment by Forbes Africa is a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve poured into my craft. I hope it inspires other young Africans to pursue their passions relentlessly,” she said.
Earlier this year, Gyakie was a speaker at the 2025 Forbes Woman Africa Leading Women Summit, where she shared insights on her artistic evolution and the creative process behind her music.
She is currently preparing for the release of her debut album, ‘After Midnight,’ scheduled for August 2025. The album is described as a deeply personal body of work that showcases her emotional range and musical versatility.
Gyakie joins a diverse group of honorees in this year’s Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list, spanning fields such as technology, finance, fashion, and the arts—each helping to shape Africa’s future.
