The league is a marathon – Hearts coach Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara insists there is still a long way to go despite the disappointment of dropping points against Nsoatreman last Saturday.

The FA Cup holders held the Phobians to a 1-1 draw at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday, ending Hearts of Oak’s run of three consecutive wins in the Ghana Premier League.

A victory would have taken Ouattara’s side into the top four, but they had to come from behind to salvage a point against Yaw Preko’s team.

“The league is a marathon. Not because we drew today, I will go and kill everybody. No, no, no,” Ouattara said after the game.

“I will go to my house, take my laptop, re-watch the match, look at the mistakes, and talk to the boys when we go to the training ground. The individual mistakes we make are not collective mistakes.”

Hearts of Oak are sixth on the Ghana Premier League table with 19 points from 12 games.

The Phobians will next face Immigration FC in the Round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup.
