Ghana midfielder Elisha Owusu makes Ligue 1 Team of the Week

Black Stars midfielder Elisha Owusu has been included in the Ligue 1 Team of the Week after starring in AJ Auxerre’s victory over Brest on matchday 6 of the French league.

The Ghana international scored and delivered an assist in the 3-0 victory at Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamps on Saturday, his first strike of the campaign.

Owusu was rated highly after a Man of the Match performance, making his way into the best eleven of the week.

He is joined by teammate Jubal, PSG’s defender Achraf Hakimi, Clinton Mata of Olympique Lyonnais and Diego Moreira of Strasbourg.

The other players are Bradley Bracola (PSG), Angel Gomes (Lille), Jonathan David (Lille), Junya Ito (Reims) and Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka.

Owusu will be hoping to maintain his decent form as Auxerre battle for a good campaign following their return to the Ligue 1.
