Leicester City target Jordan Ayew travels with Crystal Palace to USA for pre-season

Ghana international Jordan Ayew joined his Crystal Palace teammates for the pre-season tour of the United States.

Ayew who is reportedly on the radar of Premier League returnees was named in the squad for the trip on Sunday.

The Black Stars forward is entering the final year of his contract with the Eagles, prompting the attention of Leicester to make a move for the Ghanaian.

The veteran forward has been an integral member of the South London club since joining them from Swansea City in 2018.

However, at the business end of last season, the 32-year-old’s role was reduced by manager Oliver Glasner, who had replaced Roy Hodgson few months earlier.

Despite interest from Leicester, Ayew is expected to fully take part in Crystal Palace’s activities in the United States, which also includes a friendly against Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ayew was joined by compatriot and former Leicester City midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp for the USA trip.
