Dollah Boi Targets Burna Boy, Shatta Wale, Kanye West for Potential Collaborations

Nigerian musician Dollah Boi has revealed that if given the opportunity to collaborate this year, his top choices would include Burna Boy, Shatta Wale and Kanye West, citing their uniqueness and influence in the music industry.
Speaking in an interview on the Brighter Side on ZED FM, Dollah Boi expressed admiration for Burna Boy, describing him as an exceptional songwriter whose artistry has redefined global expectations of African music. “I’m obsessed with Burna Boy… his writing skills are amazing and beyond what people expect to come out of Africa,” he said.
The artiste also highlighted his strong appreciation for Shatta Wale, noting the Ghanaian star’s authenticity and deep connection to the streets. “Shatta Wale has very strong street credibility, and most of his songs reflect real struggles. It makes people feel like if he can do it, they can do it too,” he stated. He further recalled performing a Shatta Wale song during a live session, which surprised many viewers. “People were surprised to see a Nigerian singing Shatta Wale, but we love him too,” he added.
Beyond Africa, Dollah Boi pointed to Kanye West as another dream collaborator, praising his creativity and individuality. “It’s not just about the sound, it’s about the creativity of the person. Kanye West is very unique in his craft,” he noted, emphasizing his admiration for artists who push creative boundaries.
According to Dollah Boi, his interest in these musicians is rooted in their originality and ability to stand out in a competitive industry. He believes that true artistry lies in innovation and authenticity, qualities he hopes to embody in his own music journey.
Beyond collaborations, the rising artiste underscored the importance of his fans, describing them as a central part of his success. “My fans are one of the most important parts of my journey,” he said, revealing that he maintains close relationships with them through regular messages and interactions.
He also spoke about a recent meet-and-greet event in Osu, where he engaged directly with fans in a lively atmosphere. He added that his support base extends internationally, particularly in Italy, where he is able to host sold-out shows.
Dollah Boi believes this growing global presence reflects the loyalty of his fan base and positions him for greater success on the international stage.
