Vysionaire Affirms Reggae’s Enduring Power and Human Connection

Roots reggae artist Vysionaire has reaffirmed the global relevance of reggae music, emphasizing its deep human connection and enduring message of unity, truth, and purpose.

Speaking in an interview on Reggae Cafe on ZED 101.9 FM, he explained that music is shaped by the mindset and focus of the individual creating it.

“When it comes to music, it depends on how one works their mind and what they are really focused on, because it is art and people express it in different ways,” he said. He noted that while artists approach music differently, he respects all forms of expression and avoids criticizing others, stressing that creativity is a reflection of personal direction and intention.

Vysionaire addressed the place of roots reggae on the global stage, stating confidently that the genre continues to hold a strong position despite evolving musical trends. He explained that reggae’s foundation in truth and authenticity gives it lasting power. “Roots reggae still has a strong place globally because from the beginning so shall it be in the end, and the right will always be the right,” he said.

He acknowledged the rise of modern styles and what he described as distractions within the industry, but maintained that these do not diminish reggae’s core values. According to him, while trends may shift and new sounds may dominate, reggae remains grounded in its purpose. “No matter what comes, even the distractions and the fancy looks, the roots will always be the power,” he stated.

Beyond music, Vysionaire highlighted the human element that defines reggae, describing it as a voice for the people and a reflection of shared experiences. He emphasized that reggae continues to serve as a unifying force in a changing world. “The unity and strength of the people is a must, and they will always need a way,” he said.
