PSG Head Coach Urges Team to Regain Confidence Ahead of Chelsea Clash

Head coach Luis Enrique has called on his players to quickly regain their confidence after Paris Saint-Germain suffered a disappointing defeat in the French league.
PSG fell 3–1 at home to AS Monaco in the Ligue 1, a result that has raised concerns ahead of their crucial clash in the UEFA Champions League.
The reigning Champions League winners will face Chelsea FC in the Round of 16 on Wednesday, March 11. However, the Paris-based club has struggled to maintain consistent performances since the start of the year, a situation that has sparked discussions about the team’s current form and readiness for the high-stakes European fixture.
Speaking after the defeat to Monaco, Enrique admitted that the team is going through a challenging period but stressed that such moments are part of every football season.
According to him, the players must quickly refocus and work to improve their performances ahead of the decisive Champions League encounter.
He noted that restoring confidence within the squad will be essential if PSG hopes to progress further in Europe’s most prestigious club competition.
“It’s a particular and difficult moment, the kind that happens in every season. It’s hard to change, but we’ll have to correct it and try to regain the feeling to improve our performances, because we’re about to continue with the Champions League and it will be important to regain our confidence,” Enrique said in an interview with the club’s media team.
Despite the setback, PSG will be hoping to respond positively and deliver a strong performance when they take on Chelsea in what is expected to be a highly competitive Round of 16 encounter.
