Moliy Secures Second RIAA Gold Certification

Ghanaian singer Moliy has earned her second Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), marking another major milestone in her fast-rising international career.

Her hit single, “Shake It to the Max (Fly)” remix featuring Jamaican stars Shenseea and Skillibeng, has officially been certified Gold in the United States after surpassing 500,000 units in combined sales and streaming equivalents. The achievement represents Moliy’s second RIAA Gold plaque.

The remix, released on February 21, 2025, quickly gained traction online, propelled by a viral TikTok dance challenge that boosted its global visibility. The song eventually peaked at No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed to No. 1 on the US Afrobeats Songs chart, becoming Moliy’s first chart-topper on that tally.

The track’s success extends beyond the United States. In the United Kingdom, it reached No. 12 on the UK Singles Chart and earned a Gold certification after surpassing 400,000 units. It also achieved Gold status in Greece, where it recorded more than one million streams.

On digital platforms, the song continues to perform strongly, amassing more than 243 million views on YouTube, further cementing Moliy’s global resonance.

This latest accomplishment builds on the Platinum-certified success of “Sad Girlz Luv Money,” her breakout collaboration with Amaarae, which significantly elevated her international profile.

With two RIAA Gold certifications and expanding chart dominance across multiple territories, Moliy continues to solidify her position as one of Ghana’s most successful contemporary artists, demonstrating the growing global appeal of African music.
