Hinneh Seals Middlesbrough Move after Impressive Trial

Ghanaian teenage forward Listowell Lord Hinneh has completed a move to English Championship club Middlesbrough, subject to international clearance, following an impressive trial spell with the club.
The 18-year-old attacker arrives at the Riverside Stadium from the Ghana Premier League, where he gained valuable top-flight experience with Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko. Hinneh made five league appearances across the past two seasons, featuring for two of Ghana’s most competitive sides and showing flashes of his attacking potential despite his young age.
Hinneh’s football journey began at the Ghana-based Samba Stars Academy, where he honed his technical skills and developed a reputation as a quick, intelligent forward with an eye for goal. His steady rise has also seen him represent Ghana at the youth international level, further underlining his promise and drawing attention beyond the local scene.
Middlesbrough officials were reportedly impressed by Hinneh’s work rate, versatility, and willingness to adapt during his trial, qualities that convinced the Championship side to offer him a contract. He is expected to initially integrate into the club’s development setup as he adjusts to the demands of English football.
The move represents a major milestone in Hinneh’s career, offering him the opportunity to continue his development in one of Europe’s most competitive football environments. For Middlesbrough, the signing reinforces their growing strategy of identifying and investing in young African talent with long-term potential.
Hinneh will now look to settle quickly and make the most of his chance as he begins a new chapter in England, aiming to progress through the ranks and establish himself at Middlesbrough in the seasons ahead.
