Napoli and AS Roma Eye Kamaldeen Sulemana Loan Move

Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has emerged as a transfer target for Italian Serie A giants Napoli and AS Roma, with both clubs reportedly considering a loan move for the Atalanta attacker.

Sulemana, who joined Atalanta from Southampton ahead of the 2025–2026 season, is attracting interest following Napoli’s need to reinforce their attacking options after a serious injury to Brazilian winger David Neres.

According to Atalanta insider Alessandro Giovanni Pagliarini, both Napoli and Roma are exploring a loan deal running until the end of the 2025–2026 season, with an option to buy included.

However, Pagliarini revealed that Atalanta are pushing for stronger terms, preferring any loan move for Sulemana to include an obligation to buy, rather than a simple option.

In a related development, Pagliarini also reported that Turkish giants Fenerbahçe are intensifying efforts to sign Atalanta’s Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman on loan, a move that could further reshape Atalanta’s attacking setup.

Sulemana has struggled for regular game time since arriving in Bergamo, finding it difficult to break into Atalanta’s starting line-up this season.

The Ghana international featured for 39 minutes in Atalanta’s 1-0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise on Wednesday, January 28, highlighting his limited involvement at the club so far.

A move to Napoli or Roma could offer Sulemana the opportunity for increased playing time as he looks to revive his club career and maintain his place in the Black Stars setup.
