ZED Multimedia Honours Tommy Annan Forson, Fritz Baffour, Others for Outstanding Service

ZED Multimedia has honoured legendary broadcaster Tommy Annan-Forson, veteran media personality Fritz Baffour, and three other distinguished individuals for their dedication, impact, and long-standing service to the organisation.
The recognition took place at ZED Multimedia’s General Meeting, held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the company’s premises in East Legon, Accra. The meeting brought together management and staff across all departments, marking an important milestone in the organisation’s corporate journey.
The event served both as a reflective session on the company’s performance in 2025 and a platform to celebrate individuals whose commitment has contributed significantly to the growth and credibility of the ZED brand.
In honouring Tommy Annan-Forson, management described him as a broadcasting icon whose voice, professionalism, and mentorship have helped shape generations of radio practitioners in Ghana. His association with ZED Multimedia, management noted, represents the station’s commitment to excellence, credibility, and responsible broadcasting and was honored with a citation with the inscription “Vintage and Still Blazing the Trail”.
Also recognised was Fritz Baffour, whose decades-long contribution to media, communications, and public discourse has earned him widespread respect. ZED Multimedia commended him for his intellectual depth, leadership, and unwavering dedication to quality content, which continue to enrich the station’s programming and influence. He’s been a pillar, the executive chairman of the organization said he and was honored with the citation “Through it All You Have Been a Pillar, We Adore You”
Three other individuals, whose roles span programming, operations, and content development, were also honoured for their loyalty, professionalism, and behind-the-scenes contributions that keep the organisation running efficiently. Management noted that while their work may not always be in the public eye, their impact on the success of ZED Multimedia is substantial.
Speaking at the meeting, the General Manager, Ms Esenam Patricia Amedzoke emphasised that the honours were not merely ceremonial but a reflection of the organisation’s values. She highlighted dedication, teamwork, integrity, and service as core principles that guide ZED Multimedia’s operations.
The general meeting also provided an opportunity for management to review the station’s performance in 2025. Discussions focused on programming growth, audience engagement, operational challenges, and strategic milestones achieved over the year. Staff were encouraged to share feedback and ideas as part of efforts to strengthen internal collaboration and improve output in 2026.
Management acknowledged the collective effort of staff in navigating a challenging media landscape, noting that the station’s progress over the past year was the result of teamwork, resilience, and innovation.
Staff members, in turn, expressed appreciation to management for recognising excellence and creating a culture that values contribution and professional growth. Many described the honours as motivating and a reminder of the importance of commitment to quality and service.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed call for unity and dedication as ZED Multimedia positions itself for further growth in 2026. Management reiterated its commitment to investing in talent, content quality, and institutional development, while continuing to honour individuals who exemplify the values and vision of the organisation.
