Passion, Planning and Strategy Key to Business Success

Entrepreneur Cee Ami has advised aspiring and existing business owners to approach entrepreneurship with passion, careful planning and strategic thinking, warning that success does not come from simply chasing perceived opportunities for profit.
Speaking on Business Breakfast on Zed, Ms. Ami said one of the most important qualities for anyone starting a business is passion. According to her, the energy an entrepreneur brings into a venture often determines how far it can go.
She encouraged new entrants into the business space to take time to understand the industry they are entering, stressing that people should not rush into ventures simply because they believe there is money to be made. She noted that proper research is critical to understanding market dynamics and avoiding costly mistakes.
Ms. Ami also emphasised the importance of planning, explaining that business owners should structure their activities in stages and review progress regularly. She recommended quarterly planning as a way to track growth, reassess goals and make necessary adjustments.
The business woman further urged business owners to be strategic in how they operate, noting that success requires deliberate actions and thoughtful decision-making.
Ms. Ami explained that using social media without proper planning, preparation, passion and consistent effort is unlikely to yield results. She stressed that these foundational elements must come first before digital platforms can be effective.
She urged entrepreneurs to combine passion, preparation, planning and strategy in their business journeys, noting that neglecting these principles significantly increases the risk of failure.
