Patience Ozokwor Expresses Gratitude After Hall of Fame Honour in Ghana
Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor has expressed deep gratitude after being honoured with a Hall of Fame award in Ghana. The award was presented to her at the recent Reffa Awards ceremony, in recognition of her decades-long contribution to the film industry.
Sharing a video from the event on her Instagram page, the celebrated actress, popularly known as Mama G, said she woke up with a grateful heart. She thanked the organisers, Ghana, Africa, and her fans for the honour, adding that she was happy to be celebrated while she is still alive.
Ozokwor’s recognition has drawn congratulatory messages from colleagues within the entertainment industry, many of whom took to her comment section to celebrate her achievement.
The actress has enjoyed a remarkable career spanning over four decades. In 2024, she publicly sought support ahead of her 45th anniversary in the industry, reflecting on her humble beginnings and the steady growth of her career.
In 2023, she also received a Lifetime Achievement Award, during which she penned an emotional tribute to her children, acknowledging the sacrifices they made while she was often away filming.
