Latest developments indicate that Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has informed Real Madrid that he will not sign a new contract as long as his relationship with head coach Xabi Alonso remains strained.
With Vini Jr.’s contract set to expire in 2027, talks over a new contract have stalled due to the Brazilian’s strained relationship with Real Madrid’s new boss, Alonso, according to Mario Cortegana of The Athletic.
Alonso, hired in the summer, has overseen an encouraging start to the season, but relations with one of his star players appear to be at a breaking point.
The Athletic reports that three sources confirmed Vinicius raised the issue in a private conversation with club President Florentino Perez last month.
