Health Ministry, World Bank Mission Deepen Collaboration on Key Health Projects

The Ministry of Health has held discussions with the World Bank Implementation Support Mission for the Ghana COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness and Response Project and the Ghana Primary Health Care Investment Programme for Results (PforR), reaffirming its commitment to stronger collaboration and improved project execution.
Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh expressed appreciation for the World Bank’s ongoing technical assistance, noting that the mission offers a valuable opportunity to review progress, address outstanding gaps, and ensure the projects continue to meet the health needs of Ghanaians.
He assured the World Bank’s Task Team Leader of the Ministry’s full cooperation throughout the engagement, adding that active participation from all stakeholders is critical. According to him, their insights and expertise will play a vital role in achieving the mission’s objectives.
The World Bank Team Lead, in response, praised the Ministry for its sustained collaboration. She emphasised the need to adhere to established procedures and maintain open communication to ensure clarity and alignment on the way forward. She expressed optimism that continued partnership would strengthen outcomes and enhance the implementation of both health projects.
