Frimpong Manso frustrated over some Nations FC players’ attitudes
Newly appointed Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso has expressed frustration with the lack of commitment from some players this season. The Abrankese-based side has left more questions than answers following their high standard last season, when they finished in the top 7.
Manso, who took over from Kasim Mingle, has managed just one victory in four matches. After a 2-1 defeat to Berekum Chelsea, he openly criticized players he believes aren’t taking their responsibilities seriously.
“Those who want to play, I will let them play, and it doesn’t matter who you are. If you’re not serious and you don’t want to play for the team, I don’t care, but I’m going to go for those who are serious,” he explained.
“When I was appointed, I tried to unite the team, but some players… the way they behave, some of them aren’t serious. If it’s intentional or not, I don’t want to go into that, but those who are serious will play, and those not ready to go with me, I’ll leave them behind,” he added
Nations FC sit 14th on the league table with 10 points and host defending champions Bibiani GoldStars in their Matchday 11 clash. This pits Frimpong Manso against his former team, after he was relieved of his post following JS Kabylie’s thrashing of the Miners at the Accra Sports Stadium.
