Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister to visit Ghana

The Foreign Minister for Saudi Arabia, Eng. Waleed Bin Abdul-Karim Al-Khereiji, is expected to visit Ghana later this month for bilateral consultations aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries.

The visit will focus on collaboration in the energy sector (oil and gas), air transport, education, and partnership with the King Salman Institute, among other areas.

The announcement followed a meeting between Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the Saudi Ambassador to Ghana, Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dhakel.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to Ghana for its support at multilateral organisations, including the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

To boost cooperation between the private sectors of both countries, the Saudi Vice Minister will be ac

companied by a business delegation from the Kingdom for a B2B engagement with their Ghanaian counterparts.

In a post on X, Mr Ablakwa described the meeting as “extremely positive and uplifting,” adding that both nations would soon make major announcements following further negotiations in Ghana’s interest.
