Man City will remain confident despite surprise Leverkusen loss – Reijnders

Manchester City’s Tijjani Reijnders insists the team won’t lose their nerve despite their surprise Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
City, managed by Pep Guardiola, lost 2-0 at home, ending their unbeaten start to the league phase. Reijnders emphasized the team should maintain confidence, saying, “Of course it’s a bummer, but we should not lose our confidence. We did great before, and we have to get back on that winning streak.”
He added, “Mentally, we have to be ready. We know what we can do, and we have a lot of quality in the team. We should not panic now. Losing two times in a row isn’t good, but there are still plenty of chances this season.”
Reijnders believes this defeat won’t impact City’s upcoming match against Real Madrid on December 10th, stating, “I don’t think it will put extra pressure. We know what to expect from Madrid, but it’s in a couple of weeks, so let’s focus on Saturday’s game against Leeds.”
