Don Little nearly arrested in Ethiopia after offering Ghana cedis to buy food

Kumawood actor Don Little has recounted a near-arrest in Ethiopia after attempting to pay with Ghanaian cedis during his recent trip.
In a video posted on Instagram, the actor revealed that he had boarded a flight with only Ghana cedis and failed to exchange his money before travelling.
After landing in Addis Ababa and feeling hungry, he approached a stranger to buy food, offering to pay with Ghana cedis.
The stranger suspected him of theft and alerted the police.
Don Little said he was saved when one of the officers recognised him as a Ghanaian actor and comedian.
A search confirmed his identity, clearing him of suspicion.
He later advised Ghanaians to always exchange money into the local currency of the country they are visiting to avoid similar situations.
