One-week observation for Daddy Lumba set for August 30 at Legon Stadium
The family of Ghanaian Highlife legend Daddy Lumba has announced that his one-week observation will take place on Saturday, 30 August 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon.
The event is expected to draw family, close friends, fellow musicians, industry stakeholders, and fans from across the nation to honour the memory of the music icon whose career spanned decades.
Known for his soulful voice, captivating stage performances, and chart-topping hits, Daddy Lumba’s influence on Ghana’s Highlife genre has inspired generations and left an enduring legacy.
The announcement was made by DL FM, Daddy Lumba’s own radio station, via a post on its official Facebook page inviting the public to join in the solemn ceremony.
The family has extended an open invitation to all well-wishers to gather at the Legon Sports Stadium to pay their respects and celebrate the life and music of one of Ghana’s most beloved performers.
