Ghana Chieftaincy Awards to be launched July 17

The official launch of the third edition of the Ghana Chieftaincy Awards (GCA) and Royal Investment Summit 2025 is scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025 in Accra.
This year’s edition signals a renewed vision for traditional leadership in Ghana, centered on sustainability, inclusive investment, and environmental stewardship. Organized by the Obokese Foundation in partnership with The Black Star Experience, the National House of Chiefs, and Ram Media Concepts Ghana, GCA 2025 aims to reposition chiefs and queen mothers as pivotal agents of national development.
Held under the theme “A United Front for the Promotion of Environmental Awareness, Royal Investment, and Land Tenure System,” the launch will highlight the transformative role of traditional leaders not only as cultural custodians but also as strategic contributors to Ghana’s socio-economic advancement.
Speaking at the announcement of the partnership with The Black Star Experience, Nana Obokese I, founder of the Obokese Foundation, underscored the event’s dual mission of heritage preservation and positive social change.
“Our goal is to preserve our heritage while creating lasting social impact. With strong national support, this event will become a powerful space for leadership and unity. This year’s initiative is a call to action,” he stated.
A major highlight of the event, the Royal Investment Summit, will be held under the theme “Bridging Tradition and Global Capital: Unlocking Regional Investment Opportunities in Ghana.”
The summit aims to attract global investors by showcasing viable opportunities across Ghana’s 16 regions, particularly in tourism, infrastructure, and fintech.
Presidential staffer for The Black Star Experience, Rex Omar, said the summit will serve as a powerful cultural and economic platform.
“The summit is a powerful platform to showcase the richness of Ghanaian culture to the world,” he remarked.
The July 17 launch will serve as a curtain-raiser for the main GCA 2025 ceremony, which will take place in Kumasi from October 3 to 4, 2025.
