Agradaa’s husband asks Ghanaians for forgiveness

Angel Asiamah, husband of convicted self-styled evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, publicly appealed for forgiveness following his wife’s recent 15-year prison sentence.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday, July 13, at Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, where he now serves as head pastor, Mr. Asiamah knelt before the congregation in a tearful plea for clemency on behalf of his wife.
“I have knelt here before God. I believe wherever she is, the Spirit of God has spoken with her. I plead with all she has offended to forgive her. We appeal to John Dramani Mahama, the First Lady, and the Vice President to forgive her,” he said.
Mr. Asiamah also extended his plea to religious leaders, media figures, and social media commentators who may have been hurt by Nana Agradaa’s actions during her time as a controversial televangelist.
“I plead with you all. God has forgiven her of all sins. Please forgive her too,” he added.
His appeal comes in the aftermath of a ruling by an Accra Circuit Court, which sentenced Nana Agradaa to 15 years in prison with hard labor.
The conviction followed multiple charges of charlatanic advertisement and fraud by false pretenses.
The court found that she manipulated her followers, many of whom were church members, into handing over large sums of money with the promise that she could spiritually multiply their wealth. The fraudulent claims led to widespread public outrage and ultimately to her arrest and trial.
