Ghana’s Princella Adubea hails Black Queens coach Bjorkegren

Ghana international Princella Adubea has praised the impact of Black Queens head coach Kim Bjorkegren as the team intensifies preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The Swedish tactician, who took charge of the team in January 2025, has introduced new tactical ideas and instilled a high-performance culture. For Adubea, the coach’s demanding style is exactly what the team needs.
“It’s been an amazing experience. He’s very demanding, and I think that helps bring out the best in each player,” she said of working under Bjorkegren.
Adubea, who has played football in several countries, said the coach’s approach has improved her individual game and helped create a more competitive atmosphere within the squad.
“Every training session feels like a test, but it also gives us confidence. We know what’s expected, and that makes us more focused,” she explained.
With the Black Queens aiming to end their wait for a continental title, Adubea believes the technical team, led by Bjorkegren, has laid the right foundation.
“Our coaches are key to everything we do. There’s a clear plan, and we trust it. Now it’s up to us to deliver,” she said.
