CSR, a growth tool for small businesses — Communication Expert

By Solomon Nartey Tetteh
Corporate communication expert Nana Kwesi Aquaye is urging small business owners to embrace Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), highlighting its powerful role in community development and brand growth.
Speaking on Zed FM’s Business Breakfast Show, Mr. Aquaye emphasized that CSR is not exclusive to large corporations.
“You don’t have to be a big brand to make a difference. Even the smallest gestures can transform lives and build lasting trust with your community,” he said.
The communication expert explained that CSR is not just about goodwill, it is also a smart business move. Community engagement, he noted, can significantly enhance brand visibility, boost customer loyalty, and increase employee satisfaction.
Mr. Aquaye therefore encouraged young entrepreneurs to start small but remain consistent. “A simple act, like providing school uniforms for underprivileged children in your area, can create a meaningful impact.
“What matters most is sincerity and regular commitment, not the size of the initiative,” he stressed.
