Government presents vehicles to Police to support 24-hour economy

The Minister of Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak-Mohammed, has presented 60 pickup vehicles and 30 motorbikes to the Ghana Police Service.
The donation forms part of efforts to retool the security services and support the country’s 24-hour economy.
Alhaji Muntaka said the Police had established a dedicated unit to provide security for workers operating under the 24-hour economy policy.
The vehicles, locally assembled by Zonda Tec, are expected to enhance police mobility and response.
During a visit to the Zonda Tec assembly facility, the Minister announced plans to digitalise work permits and quotas to ease business operations.
He urged companies to expand their activities while operating within the law.
Alhaji Muntaka assured the public of the Ministry’s continued efforts to maintain national security. Madam Yang Yang, Chief Executive Officer of Zonda Tec, said the company was proud to contribute to national development through local vehicle assembly.
