Keche Joshua Blasts Kwadwo Sheldon Over Viral Freestyle Video Mockery

One half of Ghana’s popular music duo Keche, Keche Joshua, has taken a public swipe at social media influencer and content creator Kwadwo Sheldon, labelling him a “hypocrite” following the circulation of a viral video that has drawn criticism and ridicule online.

The video, which surfaced on social media earlier this week, shows Keche delivering a freestyle performance during a BBC Radio 1Xtra session. While the duo’s performance was intended to showcase their versatility, it was met with widespread mockery across various platforms, with some users questioning the quality of the freestyle.

Among those who weighed in on the video was Kwadwo Sheldon, whose reaction to the clip appeared to rub Keche Joshua the wrong way. In a strongly-worded response shared on May 14, 2025, Keche Joshua did not mince words, accusing Sheldon of being unsupportive and opportunistic.

“Kwadwo Sheldon, you are very wicked,” Joshua said. “When we come out with new songs, we share them with you to promote, but you ignore us. Yet something from back in 2012, you’re quick to post and laugh about.”

Joshua further alleged that Sheldon’s actions reflect a pattern of favouritism, stating that the influencer only supports select artists and ignores others when it matters most.

“You are fond of favouritism. I can see you and Pappy Kojo just want to laugh at us,” he added.

The public outburst has sparked mixed reactions, with some fans sympathising with Keche Joshua and calling for more unity and support within the entertainment industry. Others, however, argue that criticism—especially from influential figures like Kwadwo Sheldon—is part and parcel of celebrity life.

As of now, Kwadwo Sheldon has not publicly responded to the accusations. Keche, known for hit songs such as “Pressure” and “No Dulling”, has been a consistent force in Ghana’s music scene. While their freestyle may have triggered online humour, the controversy has reignited conversations about industry support, loyalty, and the power of social media in shaping public perception.
