No Song Deserves to Beat ‘Lomo Lomo’ at TGMA 26 – KiDi
With just a few weeks to go until the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), the race for top honours is heating up. Artists are going all out with their campaigns—some relying on PR teams, while others are taking a more hands-on approach by rallying fans directly on social media.
Afrobeats sensation KiDi is doing the latter, making a passionate case for his hit song Lomo Lomo to win big. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Touch It hitmaker declared that no song should surpass Lomo Lomo in any of its nominated categories.
“No song should beat Lomo Lomo in ANY category! But I need you to vote, my loves,” he wrote.
Lomo Lomo, which features fellow star Black Sherif, has earned nominations in four major categories: Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste(s), Best Afrobeats Song, Collaboration of the Year, and the highly coveted Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year. This year’s TGMAs will take place on May 10, 2025, at the Grand Arena in Accra. The Artiste of the Year category is stacked with talent, featuring nominees such as Stonebwoy, King Promise, Black Sherif, Team Eternity Ghana, Kweku Smoke, King Paluta, and Joe Mettle.
